Cambourne Rovers F.C.
The Cambourne Rovers Saturday first team was established over 40 years ago as part of the Shering Agrochem site in Harston. Known throughout the years by many different names – Shering, AgrEvo, Aventis and more recently Bayer FC – the club has consistently been represented in the Cambridge Leagues.In 2005, Bayer FC side (which was represented by many players living in the village of Cambourne) was incorporated into the flourishing Cambourne Rovers Football Club.
After achieving promotion in the 2006-2007 the Saturday 1st Team now play in the Cambridgeshire Football League BIS Division 1a.
The club now runs two team, a reserve team was added in 2008. The reserves had a solid first season and will now be looking for promotion out of Cambridgeshire Football League BIS Division 5B.
